Tomato Basil Pizza Squares

Tomato Basil Pizza Squares is one of my go-to appetizer recipes for bringing to a party or to make on pizza night! Everyone loves these Piza Squares and they are safe for egg-allergies, which is a win-win for me.

Here is what you need:

Pre-made refrigerated pizza crust (you could also use homemade, but this saves some time), plum tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, grated parmesan cheese, basil, garlic and eggless mayonnaise.

After preheating your oven to 375- degrees roll out the pizza crust on a baking sheet. Next, in a bowl, you will add 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, the parmesan, mayo, basil, and garlic. Stir until combined.

Now back to the crust, Sprinkle the crust with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Slice the Roma tomatoes and layer evenly over the cheese.

Next top with the cheese mixture. To do this I used a small scoop and placed the mixture on top of the tomatoes, then used a spreader to smooth it out.


Bake for 20 minutes and it should look like this…

Remove from the oven to cool for a few minutes, then cut into squares and serve!

Make sure to save a piece for yourself because it won’t last long!

  • 1 refrigerated pizza crust or homemade
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 2/3 cup eggless mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 Roma tomatoes sliced


  1. Preheat oven to 375-degrees. Roll out pizza dough onto a baking sheet. 

  2. Spread out 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza dough. 

  3. In a bowl combine shredded parmesan cheese, basil, eggless mayonnaise, 1 pressed clove of garlic and the rest of the mozzarella cheese. Stir until well combined.

  4. Slice the Roma tomatoes and place evenly on the pizza. 

  5. Using a spoon or scoop drop mixture over the tomato layer and spread as evenly as possible.

  6. Bake in a 375-degree oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown. Cut into 20 squares and serve warm.
